Hi subscribers! This is the first newsletter from me. The purpose is to write about things related to my own work as a tabletop RPG creator. I aim to keep the spam to a minimum, so expect no more than perhaps one newsletter per month.
The Caravan’s Secret is now available as print on demand
It’s been a while since I released my desert caravan adventure The Caravan’s Secret. It was a joy to write and I hope those of you who tried it out have had fun with it. There’s a lot of cool art by Mac Teg, John Bilodeau, and FukamiHB in it (the latter two also made art for Shadow over Gloomshire), so I urge you to check it out if only for that reason alone! The Caravan’s Secret is now available as print on demand on DrivethruRPG. Get it here:

That’s not all. You’ll also find the Winged Horror from Shadow over Gloomshire, with a new adventure seed written by yours truly.
Prismatic Wasteland Secret Santa (Covert Critic) 2024
Prismatic Wasteland is doing a secret santa over at their Discord, where instead of giving each other gifts, a bunch of bloggers and creators write something about (or for) each others’ games.
I was lucky and got to check out Brendan Albano’s creations as their secret santa, where I chose to print out and annotate feedback for the playtest version of their game Everything You Are Must be Found. In the game, you start with a blank character sheet and find out about your character’s identity, relationships, and skills, etc. as you play. Brendan has a ton of great design thoughts, and while the core game playtest mainly focuses on the game mechanics, you can see some examples of their brilliant writing in Every Knight’s Story Begins, which is a mini module for the aforementioned game. I got some heavy Elden Ring and The Green Knight vibes from it, and Brendan confirmed that those were some of the inspirations. Great stuff!
As for my own secret santa, I was completely blown away by this incredibly thoughtful, evocative, and all around entertaining review that giant robot tackler wrote about my Troika! module Pastel Paradise. They even wrote a mini expansion with a theme song, maps, and tons of tables. Do check it out, it’s pretty awesome! And it fits right in with the tone of Pastel Paradise. Also make sure to check out their blog, it’s pretty neat. Thank you so much giant robot tackler!
