Update on the creative progress of my campaign book
Let’s kick things off!
Shadow Over Gloomshire nominated to Fenix Awards 2025
Fenix Awards is the finest award a creator can get in Sweden. It’s basically the Ennies of the Swedish tabletop RPG scene, and Gloomshire was nominated in two categories! Best Swedish roleplaying game export and Best third-party supplement or community created content. It makes me incredibly happy to get this kind of acknowledgement and it feels like the hard work paid off more than I could have wished for.
Looking at the other nominees, Gloomshire is up against some seriously tough competition, with several industry legends such as Johan Nohr, Gareth Hanrahan, and Krister Sundelin (among other very famous names in the scene). While I think it’ll be tough to take home the award, I figured I would at least make an effort, so if you think that Gloomshire deserves it, please go to this link to vote for any of the two categories Gloomshire is nominated in! You may have to click “Swedish” in the menu at the top for it to translate (for some reason it shows as Polish).
Thank you!
Doomshire
This started as a joke after someone on the Dragonbane community Discord talked about running Gloomshire using Mörk Borg. Said and done, it’s not a joke anymore! Now you too can create a miserable wretch and place them in an even darker and more desperate version of Gloomshire. Grab your undead hunting gear and get ready to kick some ass in the graveyard. Welcome to Doomshire!
Download it for free here on DrivethruRPG. Note that it requires the original Shadow Over Gloomshire for Dragonbane to use.
Dragonbane Adventure Pack
I’ve released three adventures for Dragonbane in the past year and figured it would be neat to put them all in a discounted bundle. For those of you who haven’t checked out Shadow Over Gloomshire, The Caravan’s Secret, or Salthaven yet, this is for you! I do believe you get a discount for buying a partial bundle as well, if you already own one or two of the titles.

Creative update on the campaign book
The yet to be named campaign book is slowly crystallizing as I plug on with it on weekends and evenings. I can now reveal some more facts about the book, which I hope will bring something entirely new and fresh to Dragonbane.
It’s a sandbox hexcrawl and there will be around 20 hexes, each with their own encounter table and points of interest, packed to the brim with adventuring potential. No filler hexes here!
I’ve finished writing two major dungeons: Arcturus/The Lodestar is a magical tower brought to the chaos realm by the astromancer Hyperian to channel raw chaos from the void. It will be a challenge to even the most experienced parties. Darktwist Mountain. Its twisting and dark tunnels hold terrible secrets, and a way to the Realm of Chaos. You can read more about Darktwist Mountain in my last newsletter.
I have planned for at least one more major dungeon called the Hell Forge, with an unorthodox final encounter, and a megadungeon called The Amaranthine Castle, which is of a scale more epic than anything I’ve written before. In addition to these, there will be many smaller dungeons as well.
The ruined city of Ialath is a magically protected oasis in the middle of Chaos, where neutral creatures or those aligned with Law can get a short respite from the everchanging entropy of the Chaos wastes. There are also rumors of a mythical inn, frequented by planar travelers from across the multiverse.
I’m planning to write a couple of new magic schools for use by player characters, but I have yet to decide exactly which. Some possible options are chaos magic, planar magic, portal magic, astromancy, and chronomancy. There will also be matching player professions to whichever magic schools I decide to write.
That’s all for now. Until next time!
